IntroductionMariyana Vasileva October 7, 2008 Did you have a dream to change the world? Did you want it to be as you have craved? Spore can make your dreams come true. With it you can create buildings, vehicles, spaceships and last but not least many different creatures. In fact, this is not the first virtually created world of Maxis Software. In 2000 the company has released the Sims, a game based entirely on the life of people called sims. Within the game, the player had to control whole families, to built houses and to furnish them. Moreover he or she had to go to work and found entertainments too. The success of this game was so big (approximately 50 millions sold PC copies) that in the beginning of 2009 its third installment is expected. Whether Spore will have a such success is too early to tell but this game also kindles the imagination. Why Spore? Because according to William Wright, co-founder of Maxis, the heading has totally fresh and new sounding compared to the initial choice - Sim Everything. Besides being fresh, I would add that it is more accurate. The word 'spore' corresponds exactly to the world where you will go, namely lifeless planets. In each of them, you will land in with falling asteroid, in the form of a spore. The main mission of the game is to develop this spore to high-intelligent species, able to build spaceships and eventually to start colonization of other planets. Spore suggests 5 stages of evolution: cell, creature, tribal, civilization and space.
